
Clinical Psychologist, Uganda
Hope for Justice in Uganda is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic clinical psychologist to engage in specialist clinical work with children experiencing complex trauma and attachment issues. The role involves mentoring, training and oversight of all staff engaged in direct child care, to build and strengthen the whole team’s ability to provide holistic 24-hour-per-day psychological care within all Hope for Justice Uganda programmes. Additional duties including debriefing and clinical supervision of social-workers, counsellors and therapists.
Person Specifications
-MA in Psychology/Psychotherapy. An MSc in Child & Adolescent Mental Health is an added advantage
-At least 3 to 5 years’ experience working with traumatised, abused and/or exploited children
-At least 3 years’ experience of clinical supervision
-At least 3 years’ experience in training and mentoring staff to establish good practice across programmes
