Communications Officer (Fixed-term – Maternity Cover)
Hope for Justice exists to bring an end to modern slavery by preventing exploitation, rescuing victims, restoring lives and reforming society – do you share our passion to live in a world free from slavery?
Hope for Justice is recruiting for a Communications Officer on a fixed-term (until October 2021) and part-time basis.
The successful candidate will be an excellent writer and storyteller, able to use social media, news releases and printed materials to engage new and existing supporters with our work.
You will use your exceptional English language skills, media savvy and knowledge of marketing channels to inspire our donor base and raise awareness of the issue of modern slavery.
Working alongside our busy and growing Global Communications team, who are experienced in graphic design, copywriting, creative marketing, video production and web development, you will turn statistics, news and updates into engaging and emotionally impactful stories, social media posts, fundraising appeals and reports. You will also help with media enquiries and in proactively securing positive coverage of our charity’s work in the media.
We are looking for someone with at least three years of experience in communications or a related sector with creative writing at its heart. Someone with voluntary or professional experience with a charity or other fundraising-driven non-profit organisation or social enterprise would be especially desirable.
