
Community Engagement Specialist (East Midlands)

Hope for Justice is seeking a multilingual Community Engagement Specialist, to be based in the East Midlands, to work with at-risk communities, law enforcement and business to develop an effective community-based approach to address modern day slavery, while developing effective networks and building trust with victims to help them escape their traffickers.
This role requires someone with fluency in English and either Bulgarian or one or more other Balkan languages, alongside other specific skills.
The role will depend on using local and cultural knowledge and language skills to engage effectively with potential victims and with key stakeholders in these communities.
The ideal candidate will have fantastic communication skills and well-developed emotional intelligence. They will be a confident self-starter, able to work unsupervised and with an understanding of the sensitivities and discretion required when working with vulnerable people.

Full-time. This is a newly funded role for a minimum of 12 months. Additional funding will be sought but is not guaranteed.
