Community Outreach Officer, Oslo

Hope for Justice is seeking a driven, multi-lingual professional to work on the frontlines of the fight against human trafficking in Oslo, as a Community Outreach Officer. The role will involve identifying victims, working directly with them to assess their needs and appropriate support that can be offered, and sharing any gathered intelligence in an effective and efficient way.

The Community Outreach Officer will work closely with other organisations or facilities where potential victims are likely to present, ensuring their staff or volunteers understand the common indicators of trafficking and can make an effective referral on to Hope for Justice. This could include medical professionals, homeless shelters and drop-ins, other charitable organisations and social services.

This is a key role for Hope for Justice and we would welcome applications from candidates with diverse cultural knowledge and experience. Please note that we expect candidates to be fluent in Norwegian and English.

Hope for Justice søker en engasjert sosialkonsulent, gjerne flerspråklig, til arbeid i første linje mot menneskehandel i Oslo.

Arbeidsoppgaver vil involvere identifisering av mulige ofre, vurdering av behov for videre oppfølging og assistanse som sikrer tilgang på grunnleggende rettigheter for mulige ofre utsatt for menneskehandel i Norge. Dokumentasjon av samhandling og deling av informasjon med relevante aktører inngår også.

Den oppsøkende sosialkonsulenten vil jobbe tett med andre frivillige organisasjoner og offentlige etater hvor mulige ofre for menneskehandel mest sannsynlig henvender seg – dette for å bidra til at ansatte og frivillige har god kjennskap til kjennetegn på menneskehandel og hvordan de effektivt kan håndtere eventuelle mistanker og be om nødvendig assistanse. Samarbeidsaktører vil kunne inkludere helsefagarbeidere, akuttovernattinger, drop-in-sentre, fagforeninger og NAV-kontorer.
