Independent Modern Slavery Advocate (Manchester, UK)

Hope for Justice is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic professional who is able to work directly with survivors, offering legal advocacy and specialist support and advice.

Could you join our team of Independent Modern Slavery Advocates, helping people who have been victims of modern slavery to understand and access their entitlements to welfare and housing benefits, conducting needs-led assessments, and signposting them to relevant services?

The successful candidate will have worked previously with vulnerable adults in an advisory capacity, and have excellent knowledge of welfare benefits law and the laws relating to modern slavery. They must also have demonstrable core legal skills including research, advocacy, negotiation, drafting and interviewing. This position will be home-based initially, until Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted. Thereafter, it will be based at head office in central Manchester.
