Award nomination for Hope for Justice Training team
Hope for Justice’s UK Training team has been nominated in the prestigious Training Journal Awards in the Best Public Service/Not-for-Profit Programme category.
Our team was nominated alongside organisations representing some of the biggest public sector brands in the country, including the NHS and the Cabinet Office – a massive achievement.
The next stage is an interview and presentation in September. The winner will be announced in December at the annual awards in London.
Our Training Manager, Sara Squires, said: “It’s really exciting to be nominated for this award, and that our training is getting recognised on the national stage.
“Our training team is continuing to grow – we delivered our materials to 8,885 people last year, and we are seeing more and more interest from statutory agencies and government bodies, alongside organisations like police forces, NHS bodies, local authorities and other charities.
“This really highlights the credentials of our training work.”
Training sessions focus on understanding modern slavery and responding effectively to this barbaric crime, through case studies, written materials, videos, presentations and interactive lessons.
Attendees come away equipped and empowered to report a suspected case, to refer it to the appropriate authorities, to spot a likely victim and to understand the methods of controls used by traffickers and how they keep their crime hidden.
