Hope for Justice marks Anti-Slavery Day
Today is Anti-Slavery Day in the UK. Hope for Justice has been marking this important day with a campaign urging the public to Help The Hidden Ones: the victims hidden in plain sight in our own communities.
A Hope for Justice spokesperson said: “It is a day for contemplation of the scale of this darkness in our world – but also a day for celebration of how far we have come and the lives we have changed. More people are educated and aware than ever before – more governments taking action – more businesses protecting their supply chains. At Hope for Justice, we added 2,020 opened padlocks to our Freedom Wall this past year. That is 2,020 lives completely changed thanks to the supporters who power our work. We think that is worth celebrating.”
