Survivors launch petition to demand right to a secure future
Hope for Justice promotes and supports the voices of survivors in reforming the systems and barriers they encounter in their recovery.
Survivors of modern slavery in the UK started this petition to urge MPs to support their right to a secure future. They, and we, believe every survivor of #ModernSlavery should have the right to permanent residency after it is confirmed they were a victim.
In the words of the survivors themselves: “Despite the Government’s promise to protect survivors of human trafficking and modern slavery, many are kept in limbo for years awaiting decisions on their case, with the fear of being deported. Many feel insecure, isolated and unsafe. Support the right to a secure future.”
